Atiu Kopeka Lodge was built in 2004 and named after the unique kopeka birds of Atiu that are found in the Anatakitaki caves. In June 2008, Atiu Kopeka Lodge was purchased by brothers Kave Ringi and Eddie Drollett who are landowners and descendants of the Ua Pere family in Areora, Atiu.
Eddie Drollett oversees the management of Atiu Kopeka Lodge and Aunty Rouru (pictured on left) is the operational manager and the face of the property. She is responsible for all aspects of the lodge from airport transfers to housekeeping and office activities. She employs part-time workers from the nearby villages for cleaning, groundwork and for general care of the property. Aunty Rouru is a bubbly, friendly and enterprising woman and she will ensure your stay at Atiu Kopeka Lodge is memorable.
